MEASUREMENTS : this fabric measures approximately 55 inches long by 25 inches wide~ CONDITION : This fabric is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. I've never seen anything quite like this! This little Rug is all hand made and dates from 1930's-1940?. This is one of her rugs~ It's SO unique, I just had to have it. The backing is a jute or hessian grain sack ~ The pale blue feels like a wool and linen blend??.

The Word ticking is derived from the Latin word for case, Tica. ~ a wonderful fabric for many projects. A wonderful, historical fabric. However, this piece was marked for placing buttons when made into a mattress, and so there are little X marks all around this piece!
