These handles are new stock and are very suitable for handle replacements on Antique Trunks or newly built Chests--Included in this purchase are the following:Two russett leather straps cut from cowhide 1 1/4" wide by 8 1/2" inches long by 1/4" and very sturdy-- Four new metal strap ends with coat of primer and a finish coat of hammered bronze enamel. Nine- 1" long cut nails to fasten the leather to the trunk. Nails are to be placed two per end under the position of the metal strap ends in a vertical position for best attachment. Form the permanent handle loop to suit before completing the nailing. Eighteen- 3/4" split brass plated tacks to fasten the metal strap ends. The handles measure approx 10 1/2" metal end to metal end with the handle loop but can be shortened by cutting a bit off of the leather strap if required to fit. Black Hard Top Suitcase Stunning Luggage Wood Lined Dovetailed Corners Vintage

This is a nice vintage luggage piece that all I could find for identifying is the HMC on the front. It does need a new lining because the old one was in the process of being replaced. It's a great project item to get a real nice stylish suitcase that you just can't buy anymore . The wood paneling is what most restoration people look for when shopping for vintage suitcases. The back is damaged on the right side and I took two pictures of that damage. It's a stunning piece overall with wear also on the outside . No key to the locks .
