You are bidding on a Hard to Find, Antique, c. 1880's, French Serves, Hand Blown, White Satin Glass, Coin Spot Pattern, Bonbonniere / Bon Bon Dish / Urn / Compote with Lid, in a French Ormolu Gold Gilt Finish Base, Frame, and Finial. Handblown satin glass is super smooth, with a delicate coin spot pattern throughout. None of the spots have popped open, all beneath glass and smooth, no divets, very clean glass. There is a stress line crack, in the glass, at the bottom base of the urn, where it attaches. It should be reinforced. The crack is halfway around the size of a quarter, next to the hole. Right now it is solid, and I intend for it to stay that way. If not repaired, it should be considered to be a piece to be displayed, and not touched. Otherwise, no other damage. Not a single flake on the interior of the lid bottom, very clean! Love the sweet delicate claw feet! Bottom has the remains of a bad impressed mark, I can only make out a circle, and some letters? Could be Baccarat? However, I have been researching for several hours, and Serves, is the best match, based on many elements in the design, feet, finial, quality, some mark. This bon bon dish stands 8" tall by 7 1/2" across. Selling as found. Shipping and handling will be $24.95 US Mail, in the continent US only, all other locations will be different.
